Bike of the Month Kawasaki ZZR1400 "ZX-14""Super Sport"

Kawasaki’s original ZZR1100 certainly earned itself a fierce reputation amongst bike enthusiasts when the model was launched over 15 years ago. A wildly optimistic speedometer informing riders that they were breaking the magic 300kph barrier was nothing more than fantasy. However that never prevented the bike from reaching legend status as for many years, optimistic speedo or not, the ZZR had the highest top speed of any standard motorcycle. It was never a sportsbike by any stretch of the imagination, a wet weight well in excess of 250kg saw to

New Sportsbike Hayabusa from Suzuki in India

The bike could hit the top speed of 397 km/h in the year 2004 but its present making haslimited speed up to 299 km/h.
The bike is powered by 1340cc engine in line four-engine which would price up to enormous Rs
11 lakh. This makes the industry drop their expectation on number in country. This motorbike will be launched in the 1st week of September but its retail cost would be high due to its big 105% import duty.

200 TMAX: lighter and sleeker with new chassis

The new TMAX is closer to a motorcycle than ever,” says Naoki Segawa, today in charge of Product Planning for Yamaha's scooter line up in Europe. The ingredients of this model’s improvements are a completely new chassis including an Aluminium frame and new suspension components as well as totally new bodywork.

Honda ST 1300 - Ride Review

The 2004 model ST1300A has also now arrived in Australia. This is the deluxe version of the totally revamped for 2003 ST1300 we reviewed on the preceding pages of this feature.
The ST1300A is now on sale at a recommended retail price of $24,590 and ships in an attractive new 'Tower Silver Metallic'. This new model ships with an electrically adjustable windshield and ABS as standard for a price premium of $1,600 over the standard model.

Kawasaki ZX6RR - Better the second time around.

Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 -

In the cruiser category bigger is definitely better, and the super-macho new Vulcan 2000 is the largest displacement V-Twin in the world. This high-powered flagship machine is unlike anything in the cruiser category and completely redefines Kawasaki's brand DNA in this important market. Complementing the engine's massive size and impressive power output is an attractive style that mixes modern and traditional design elements in a streamlined, highly integrated package. Centrepiece of the Vulcan 2000's remarkable styling is the streamlined headlight nacelle enclosing a "gatling" projector-beam headlamp.
Engine displacement is an incredible 2,053 cc, making the Vulcan 2000 the largest displacement production V-Twin in history. Not only does this muscular power plant produce massive amounts of torque and horsepower, it is also one of the best-looking VTwin engines in the world, with the huge gracefully tapered cylinders attractively accentuated by the long pushrod tubes and curvaceous engine covers.
The "stretched" low-and-long chassis is just as impressive. As the top model in Kawasaki's cruiser line-up, every detail expresses the high quality, superb comfort and feeling of trustworthiness customers expect from a flagship machine.

I think there are other advantages to the Guzzi layout then cylinder cooling and I would love to see a water cooled transverse-V motor. To me it's a big part of the appeal. The impact on handling as well as the look. Water cooling is coming. It would be hard to avoid. Even Harley has a water cooled bike(two if you count the new Buell). I say bring it on. More power good. And incorperating the trans into the engine to shorten the length of the drive train would be a huge step forward. I would love it. Not holding my breath on any of this though.
the 848 looks stunning in white.

I was there too, very early. I stared at it like everyone else. Last year at the Vancouver Show, Helicopter Jim had his at the Guzzi display. Again, people stared in amazement that M.G. could make something like that. Squids, greasers, mods, everybody. Too bad they couldn't start it inside, it sounds over the top frickin' unreal. They could use that same body style and fit it to the new format of bike frames they have. Realistically, they will have to use an engine that currently meets noise and emission requirements, so the MGS-01 engine's state of tune will never be seen again. Just won't happen. In fact, I don't know why one of us hasn't tried to find this bodywork and adapt it to a standard V11. It would be much easier than adapting it to the new format. Hey Greg, is there a price listing for the bodywork for the MGS-01? I think I have a plan!!Steve

Each huge, 112mm forged aluminium-alloy piston is a product of race-proven design, using short skirts with cutaway sides to reduce friction and a short, inset piston pin to reduce reciprocating weight.

MV Agusta have updated all models for 2007. One of them is the F41000R and yes, we are talking colours. But believe us, those new colours have been researched and combined with Michelangelo's touch. That's why the F41000R looks so fresh in white and black. The 2006 F4 1000 R engine had already received a lot of updates to make it cleaner and the 2007 engine stays the same. The Euro 3 modifications that had to be made involves adjusting the Magnet Marelli fuelling system and adding a lambda sensor directly in front of the catalyser. To achieve this MV Agusta F4 1000 R now features a one-piece exhaust system with no joints. This minimises the risk of anything disturbing the airflow and that means a smoother ride. The F4 is not restricted to any particular top speed and can do more than 300km/h, hence the need for the radial Brembo mono block brakes. The F4 1000 R produces 174bhp @ 11.900rpm and 111Nm @ 10.000rpm. Also available in red/silver and black.

SUZUKI GSX 1300

Well the big Yamaha TMax is rumored to be arriving in the U.S. next year. This is a wildly popular scooter that is designed more for performance than anything else. The suspension and motor have more in common with traditional mc's than scooters.

Here is a brief description from Yamaha Japan:"Think of the TMAX as a sports bike that looks like a scooter. The frame, suspension and engine are pure motorcycle. And with a cruising speed of 160 km/h and sports bike handling qualities, this is one high-performing roller. No unit swingarms or other scooter orthodoxy on this hot-rod. The new TMAX runs fuel injection and higher compression for improved driveability in the low and medium rpm ranges. The suspension has also been upgraded for improved ride quality. • High-tensile-steel Diamond Frame • Liquid-cooled DOHC 4-valve Parallel Twin Engine • FI • 498cm3 • Radial Tyres • Dual Front Disc Brakes"Here is a great video of the bike running a short course with the TMax:
The Yamaha TMax is the flagship of the their scooter line. Essentially if offers performance over efficiency. For the record most of the big scooters have a similar sport touring look to them but I don't see it being a clone of the Majesty. Some of the differences from the Majesty are a larger twin motor vs. a single, dual disc brakes, mc like suspension, frame mounted motor are a few of the details. This TMax is Yamaha's equivalent of the Honda SilverWing and Burgman 650 for sophistication. If you want a new design from Yamaha you will have to wait a while for the 250 sport Majesty:
